Spokane NAACP & T-Mobile Internet Service

The Spokane NAACP Unit #1137 received a grant from Front & Centered to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on our communities of color.  We are teaming with T-Mobile to provide wireless hot-spots and internet service to the homes of people and families of color who need them.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, contact the Spokane NAACP and leave a voice message with your name and phone number.

The supply of hotspots is limited, and the Spokane Resource Center does not have access to their application and distribution process.

Keep Americans Connected Pledge

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai launched a program from March 13th to May 12th in partnership with internet service providers pledging to open their hotspots for free wifi, to waive late service fees, and to prevent contract termination if customers aren't able to pay their bills at this time.

Customers must contact their service providers as each company is managing the situation differently.

Xfinity Wifi for Free

Until further notice, all Xfinity WiFi Public Hotspots are now open to everyone on the xfinitywifi network. Public hotspots can be found in small/medium businesses and outdoors in commercial areas.

Community members that do not have an Xfinity account need to accept Terms and Conditions to access the network and repeat when requested to continue to receive free unlimited access.

Xfinity's website will provide you with every hotspot within your specific ZIP code.

Interactive Map of Public Wifi

The Android and iOS app can help you find the nearest available wifi hotspot and provide passwords.
Note - app-users post the wifi information.  If a business has changed its network or password, please contact the business for wifi access.
